About Chloe
Chloe Flemming is an AASW social worker with 20 years' experience in clinical and community settings. She trained in psychology and social work at the University of Sydney and has worked in hospital wards, care management and government services. Chloe draws on that long career when supporting people facing anxiety, stress and life transitions.
Her early work began in hospital social work, helping patients and their families through admissions and discharge.
Background and approach
She then spent five years in London in both hospital roles and care management before returning to Australia. In later public service roles she supported people experiencing domestic violence, relationship breakdown and suicidal crisis. Chloe takes a whole-of-life view.
She looks at the physical, social, cultural and material sides of a person’s life when exploring problems. Sessions are warm and direct, combining practical steps with reflective conversation to help people manage symptoms and make everyday changes. She often uses Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and cognitive behavioural techniques alongside mindfulness and motivational interviewing.
These approaches are used to help with anxiety, depression, grief, addictions and parenting challenges among other concerns. Chloe works with issues linked to identity and discrimination, including LGBT and women’s issues, and supports people coping with postpartum depression, pregnancy and childbirth, and compassion fatigue. Her style is empathetic and collaborative, focused on small, achievable goals and clearer day-to-day coping.
Services are offered across Australia in English via video calls, phone, live chat or text messaging. Sessions use a subscription model that can be cancelled at any time.
Evidence-based approaches delivered online
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) helps people notice difficult thoughts and feelings without being driven by them. It focuses on values and small actions that move a person toward a life they care about, which suits anxiety and life-change work. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) looks at how thoughts, feelings and behaviours interact and teaches practical skills to reduce unhelpful patterns; it is often used for anxiety, sleeping problems and depression.Finding the right approach is part of the work. Chloe will talk with clients about their goals and preferences and try different techniques to see what fits. The choice of approach is collaborative and can change over time as needs shift.
Online sessions are offered by video call, phone, live chat or text-based messaging to make therapy more flexible. Video calls allow face-to-face conversation, phone sessions work when bandwidth is limited, and chat or messaging can suit quick check-ins or people who prefer writing. These options make it easier to fit regular sessions around work, caring duties and other commitments.
